Lido Pimienta is a Canadian-Colombian singer-songwriter born in Barranquilla in 1986, renowned for her innovative fusion of Afro-Indigenous roots with contemporary electronic and cumbia rhythms. Based in Toronto, Pimienta has carved a distinctive space in modern music by blending folkloric influences, punk energy, and electronic experimentation. Her powerful, multi-textured voice channels themes of identity, resistance, and heritage, reflecting her Afro-Colombian and queer identities with unapologetic boldness.
