About Alok

Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, widely known as Alok, is a pioneering Brazilian DJ and producer who has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene. Born in Goiânia, Brazil, into a musical family—his parents, DJ Ekanta and DJ Swarup, are renowned psytrance artists—Alok initially collaborated with his twin brother Bhaskar under the project Logica, producing psytrance. However, in 2012, he embarked on a solo career, shifting his focus to house music and eventually creating his signature sound known as "Brazilian Bass." This vibrant fusion of tech-house beats and festival-ready EDM captures the dynamic energy of Brazil and has since defined his artistic identity.

By 2014, Alok's relentless innovation and electrifying live events earned him recognition as Brazil’s top house DJ. His international breakthrough arrived in 2016 with the release of "Hear Me Now," a collaboration with Bruno Martini featuring vocalist Zeeba. Released through Spinnin’ Records, the track achieved viral YouTube success and charted in over a dozen countries, cementing Alok's place on the world stage. He continued to build on this momentum with hits like "Never Let Me Go" (2017) and "Ocean" (2018), frequently collaborating with Zeeba, Bruno Martini, Gavin James, and Zelva. Consistently ranked in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs since 2015, Alok remains a formidable force, blending innovation with infectious rhythms to shape the future of electronic music worldwide.
