About Drug Church

Emerging from Albany, New York, Drug Church has made a distinct mark on the punk and hardcore scene since their formation in 2011. Over more than a decade, they have developed a signature sound that expertly fuses aggressive guitar riffs with catchy melodies, irreverent wit, and a genuine emotional depth. This unique blend sets them apart as one of the most compelling and hard-to-categorize bands in modern punk and hardcore music.

Drug Church’s fifth studio album, "PRUDE" (2023), epitomizes their intense yet concise style, delivering a powerful 28-minute burst of raw energy and infectious hooks. The album reinforces their reputation as a formidable loud guitar band, combining sharp songwriting with a refusal to take themselves too seriously—a quality that has fueled both their longevity and broad fan appeal.

Known for their raw but melodic approach and thought-provoking lyrics, Drug Church has cultivated a fiercely loyal following within New York’s hardcore punk community and beyond. Their music consistently challenges genre boundaries while resonating deeply with listeners, making them a vital and unpredictable force in contemporary heavy music. With a career that continues to thrive well past a decade, Drug Church remains a standout example of innovation and staying power in the punk landscape.
