About Propagandhi

Propagandhi is a politically charged punk rock band that originated in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1986. Led by guitarist and vocalist Chris Hannah, the group emerged from a skate-thrash background with their debut album, "How to Clean Everything" (1993), quickly establishing themselves as pioneers in melodic hardcore and anarcho-punk scenes. Over nearly four decades, Propagandhi has become renowned for their sharp, socially conscious lyrics and relentless activism, consistently addressing urgent political and social issues through a combination of wit, passion, and urgency.

Their sound has evolved significantly over the years, blending aggressive punk energy with increasingly sophisticated musicianship. This progression is vividly captured in their eighth studio album, "At Peace" (2023), which reflects a matured perspective that balances existential dread with critical scrutiny of contemporary society’s failures. Chris Hannah describes the record as a personal crossroads, where hope and despair coexist, maintaining the fierce intensity that has defined the band’s sound since their early days.
