About La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol

La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol, widely known as LA M.O.D.A., is a seminal Spanish band from Burgos, celebrated for their heartfelt lyrics and distinctive fusion of traditional folk instruments such as accordion, clarinet, mandolin, and banjo. Since forming in 2011, LA M.O.D.A. has carved out a unique niche in Spain’s contemporary music scene by blending Castilian folk roots with modern sensibilities, creating a sound that resonates deeply with audiences both domestically and internationally.

Renowned for their relentless dedication to live performances, the band has played over 600 concerts across Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Their grassroots approach to building a fan base, largely through word-of-mouth and self-released recordings, has fostered a fiercely loyal following. To date, their discography includes five studio albums, several EPs, and two live albums, with the latest studio effort, Nuevo Cancionero Burgalés, receiving widespread acclaim and supported by an extensive national tour, including four sold-out shows at Madrid’s iconic WiZink Center.

Continuing their artistic evolution, LA M.O.D.A. has announced a highly anticipated return to the stage in autumn 2025, coinciding with the release of new material. Their enduring presence and authentic storytelling cement their status as a vital force in Spanish folk rock, captivating audiences across generations and borders.
