About Ciro y Los Persas

Ciro y Los Persas, led by renowned Argentine musician Andrés Ciro Martínez, was formed in 2009 following Martínez’s two-decade tenure as the frontman of the iconic rock band Los Piojos. Marking a seamless continuation of his influential presence in Argentina’s rock scene, Ciro y Los Persas quickly established themselves as one of the country’s most dynamic and beloved rock acts. Their sound blends classic rock with fresh energy, evolving over time to incorporate ambitious musical projects, including orchestral elements.

Over more than a decade, the band has sold out Argentina’s most prestigious venues, such as River Plate Stadium, Ferro, Vélez Sarsfield, and the legendary Luna Park arena. Notably, Martínez’s combined performances with both Los Piojos and Ciro y Los Persas have surpassed 60 shows at Luna Park, setting a record for the historic venue. Their remarkable impact and artistic excellence have earned them multiple accolades, including two Carlos Gardel Awards, which underscore their lasting influence on the national music landscape.

In recent years, Ciro y Los Persas have embarked on an ambitious trilogy of albums that celebrate Martínez’s extensive musical journey. This includes "Guerras (Un Viaje En el Tiempo)" (2021) and its orchestral follow-up, "Sueños (Un Viaje En el Tiempo)" (2023), created in collaboration with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Mendoza. These projects highlight the band’s evolving sound and commitment to innovation, captivating longtime fans and new listeners alike.
