About I Am Morbid

I Am Morbid is a formidable death metal band formed in 2014 by David Vincent, the iconic vocalist and bassist formerly of Morbid Angel. Established during Vincent’s departure from Morbid Angel, the band serves as both a tribute and continuation of the legendary extreme metal sound that shaped the late 1980s and early 1990s. I Am Morbid gained widespread recognition through their live album *I Am Morbid: Live in Portland* (2017), which captures the raw intensity and brutal precision of classic Morbid Angel material alongside fresh interpretations.

The band’s lineup features accomplished musicians such as guitarists Bill Hudson and Richie Brown, and drummer Tim Yeung, who bring technical prowess and relentless energy to live performances. I Am Morbid has toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Latin America, earning a dedicated global following by delivering fierce renditions of seminal tracks from Morbid Angel’s early albums like "Altars of Madness," "Blessed Are the Sick," and "Covenant."

While stirring discussion among metal fans about its connection to the original Morbid Angel catalog, I Am Morbid stands out for its uncompromising approach to preserving and revitalizing extreme metal’s foundational sound. With Vincent’s unmistakable guttural vocals at the forefront, the band continues to captivate audiences by bridging death metal’s influential past with the vibrant energy of today’s metal scene.
