About Nanpa Básico

Francisco David Rosero Serna, known professionally as Nanpa Básico, is a Colombian singer and songwriter who has become a vital voice in Latin America’s contemporary Hip Hop scene. His music uniquely blends rap and reggae influences, marked by candid and unfiltered lyrics that delve into life’s essential values. This authentic storytelling approach has earned him a dedicated following among newer generations of Hip Hop and reggae enthusiasts.

Nanpa Básico’s rise to prominence accelerated with his breakthrough digital show in 2020, which opened the door to extensive tours across Latin America and the United States. He has performed in countries including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, and the U.S., expanding his reach beyond his native Colombia.

In the same pivotal year, he released his studio album "HECHO M13RD4" (2020), a milestone project that showcased his evolving artistry. The album features collaborations with notable artists from the regional Mexican and reggaeton scenes, highlighting Nanpa Básico’s versatility and his ability to transcend traditional Hip Hop boundaries while staying rooted in his cultural heritage. "HECHO M13RD4" also earned him his first appearance on the Billboard charts, underscoring his growing influence within the Latin music industry.
