About Houle

Houle, a melodic black metal band formed in Paris in 2021, has quickly distinguished itself through a unique fusion of razor-sharp guitar riffs and hauntingly ethereal melodies. Deeply inspired by the boundless and relentless power of the ocean, Houle’s music captures humanity’s enduring struggle against nature’s overwhelming forces. Their sonic landscapes evoke the journey of weary travelers navigating chaos, uncertainty, and the sublime terror of the natural world in search of peace and clarity.

In mid-2022, Houle solidified their artistic vision by recording their debut EP at DNI Studio. This release introduced audiences to their compelling blend of aggressive, precision-forged instrumentation and melancholic, atmospheric passages—hallmarks that define their place in the modern melodic black metal scene. Through evocative storytelling, the band channels elemental confrontations between human fragility and nature’s indomitable strength, offering listeners a cathartic experience grounded in both intensity and transcendence.

By weaving profound thematic narratives with an intricate balance of raw energy and melodic depth, Houle has established themselves as a rising force in contemporary metal, inviting fans to explore the turbulent, yet beautiful intersection of chaos and calm that shapes our world.
