About Kiki Morente

Kiki Morente, born José Enrique Morente Carbonell in Granada in 1989, is a prominent figure in contemporary flamenco music, continuing the rich artistic legacy of his family. As the son of the legendary cantaor Enrique Morente and bailaora Aurora Carbonell, and brother to celebrated artists Soleá and Estrella Morente, Kiki was immersed in Andalusian flamenco traditions from an early age.

He launched his professional recording career with the album "Albayzín" (2017, Universal), a work deeply rooted in classic flamenco. This debut featured collaborations with some of flamenco’s most esteemed guitarists, including Juan and Pepe Habichuela, Rafael Riqueni, Diego del Morao, Juan Carlos Romero, Montoyita, Juan Habichuela Nieto, and Juan Carmona "Camborio," who also co-produced the album alongside Kiki and his sister Estrella.

In 2021, Kiki Morente released his sophomore album, "El Cante" (Universal), co-produced with Enrique Heredia "El Negri." This record reflects his artistic growth, pairing creative experimentation with a profound respect for flamenco traditions. Through these projects and collaborations, Kiki Morente has firmly established himself as a dynamic and innovative voice, balancing heritage and modernity within the flamenco genre.
