About Las Ligas Menores

Las Ligas Menores, an influential indie rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, has become a defining voice in the Latin American independent music scene. Since their emergence in the early 2010s, the band has captivated audiences with their distinctive blend of lo-fi indie rock and evocative songwriting. Their discography includes two critically acclaimed studio albums: their self-titled debut *Las Ligas Menores* (2014) and *Fuego Artificial* (2018). These releases, alongside early work like the *El Disco Suplente* EP (2012), have been distributed widely across Argentina, Spain, Mexico, and Colombia, solidifying their presence both regionally and internationally.

Las Ligas Menores rose to wider recognition through memorable performances at major music festivals such as Coachella, Bilbao BBK, Estéreo Picnic, and Lollapalooza Argentina. Their extensive touring across Latin America and Spain has helped them cultivate a loyal and diverse fan base. The band’s evolving sound gained further acclaim with the 2020 single "Hice Todo Mal," which earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song, highlighting their growing influence in the genre.

Known for melding intimate, lo-fi aesthetics with compelling narratives, Las Ligas Menores continue to shape the landscape of Spanish-language indie rock. Their singles, including “Mis Amigos” (2016), “Renault Fuego” (2013), and “La Nieve” (2021), showcase a band committed to artistic growth and emotional resonance, confirming their role as a cornerstone of contemporary Latin American music.
