About Jesse Baez

Jesse Baez is a Chicago-born producer and vocalist who was raised in Guatemala from the age of six. Immersed in a rich tapestry of musical influences, Baez developed a passion for crafting inventive Latin R&B sounds early on. He began his musical journey with the band Easy Easy and collaborations with emerging artists like Girl Ultra, but truly established his distinct voice with his solo debut EP, "B.A.E.Z." (2016). This moody, atmospheric collection featured minimalist production and introspective lyrics sung primarily in Spanish. Collaborations with artists such as Teen Flirt and MONVCO helped cement Baez’s foundation in contemporary Latin R&B.

By 2018, Baez’s sound evolved toward darker, trap-infused beats and heavier production. His singles "Mi No Eres Tú" featuring C. Tangana and "Mientu" with Paty Cantú showcased this stylistic shift, blending trap rhythms with melancholic melodies. This evolution culminated in his first full-length album, "Turbo" (2018), released under Universal Records. The album integrated rap, trap, and R&B elements, featuring notable collaborations with producers and artists like Dillon Francis and Fuego. Through these dynamic projects, Jesse Baez has emerged as a pioneering force, skillfully bridging Latin urban music and contemporary R&B with innovative sonic explorations that continue to resonate across audiences.
