About Yuuf

London-based quartet Yuuf crafts a captivating soundscape blending global influences into a dreamlike fusion of sun-soaked melodies, organic textures, and hand-crafted rhythms. Formed by Anthony Boatright (bass), Hugo Cottu (guitar), Andrin Haag (handpan and percussion), and Oliver Overgaard (drums), the band draws from their diverse European roots—Swiss, English, French, and Danish—to create music that feels both intimate and universally uplifting.

Yuuf’s rise began with mesmerizing live session videos filmed in serene natural settings, which quickly amassed over 3.4 million views on YouTube. Their debut EP, "In The Sun" (2025), was a breakthrough, combining evocative songwriting with shimmering soundscapes that resonated deeply with listeners worldwide. Early sold-out shows at renowned London venues such as The Lexington solidified their reputation as an essential live act.

After signing with Ninja Tune, Yuuf expanded their reach through extensive tours across North America, Europe, China, and Japan in 2025 and 2026. Their performances at prestigious festivals, including the Montréal Jazz Festival, Festival d’été de Québec, and Japan’s Fuji Rock, have earned critical acclaim. Fuji Rock Express famously described their set as a magical moment that transformed the festival field into “the happiest place on Earth.”

With continued support from influential radio stations like KEXP, KCRW, and BBC Radio 6, Yuuf remains an enchanting force. Their latest EP, "Alma’s Cove," further showcases their evolving artistry—combining honesty and passion to create a sun-kissed soundscape that continues to captivate and uplift audiences worldwide.
