About Manon Mullener

Swiss pianist Manon Mullener, born in 1997 in Fribourg, grew up in a vibrant musical family that nurtured her early passion for music. She began studying piano at the Conservatoire de Fribourg at just four years old. Her deep fascination with jazz and Latin rhythms led her to Havana, Cuba, where she immersed herself in the local music scene to refine her unique sound. After completing her formal training at the Bern University of the Arts, Mullener launched her recording career with the 2019 album "Reflejos," a piano duo project with Peruvian pianist Cesar Correa and contributions from percussionist David Stauffacher.

Manon’s music seamlessly blends jazz, Latin beats, and Swiss folk melodies, creating evocative, story-driven compositions. In 2023, she unveiled "Insomnia," the debut album from her quintet, which propelled a European tour of over fifty concerts. This momentum culminated in the 2025 release of "Stories," recorded in New York and supported by an ambitious global tour exceeding 100 shows. Celebrated by Le Temps as one of French-speaking Switzerland’s most influential cultural figures and hailed by Radio France as a leading voice in European jazz, Mullener has graced prestigious festivals and clubs across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Her dynamic career includes notable collaborations with Cuban pianist Dayramir Gonzalez and appearances at the Havana Jazz Festival alongside Emmet Cohen. She has also contributed to projects with artists like Nicole Johänntgen and Nolan Quinn. In 2026, Manon Mullener’s innovative artistry was recognized with the Swiss Jazz Award, cementing her status as a rising star in contemporary jazz.
