About Dr Chrispy

Dr Chrispy is the dynamic musical alter ego of Dr Chris Boshuizen, an Australian astronaut, technologist, and passionate advocate for making space travel accessible to all. On October 13, 2021, Boshuizen made history as the third Australian to journey into space aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, sharing this landmark flight with Star Trek icon William Shatner. Drawing inspiration from this extraordinary experience, Dr Chrispy blends Synthwave with pulsating Progressive House beats to create an invigorating soundscape that combines catchy rhythms with authentic, introspective lyrics. His music aims to inspire both aspiring artists and space enthusiasts by capturing the emotional intensity of cosmic exploration.

To immortalize his voyage beyond Earth’s atmosphere, Dr Chrispy is developing an EP accompanied by cinematic music videos featuring exclusive footage from his Blue Origin flight. Early singles such as "The Great Unknown" and "Zero Gravity" (2021) have already accrued over five million views, highlighting the rising buzz around his unique fusion of electronic music and space exploration themes. Operating from his San Francisco home studio, he also founded Interplanetary Records, an independent label devoted to pushing the boundaries of electronic sound. Dr Chrispy continues to produce innovative tracks that celebrate humanity’s expanding presence in space, encouraging a new generation to reach for the stars.
