About Myer U Clark

Myer U Clark is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter celebrated for his sophisticated digi-folk sound that blends elegant folk-pop with unexpected melodic twists. Emerging into the spotlight with his 2022 single "Healers," Clark began shaping a distinctive musical style characterized by intricate guitar work and a rich instrumental palette. His 2023 album, *Tinderbox*, further explores this sonic territory, weaving together banjo, viola, oboe, double bass, cabasas, and harmonium to create textured soundscapes that defy traditional folk conventions.

Drawing inspiration from the haunting and disorienting qualities of John Williams' soundtrack for *E.T.*, Clark embraces unusual chord changes and quirky harmonic shifts, crafting songs that take listeners on winding, unpredictable journeys. This fascination with melodic dislocation not only sets his music apart but also lends it an emotionally resonant, moving quality. Within Bristol’s vibrant music scene, Myer U Clark stands out as a melody-driven artist committed to pushing the boundaries of folk music, inviting audiences into a world where familiar themes are constantly refreshed by innovative musical surprises.
