About Lorena Álvarez

Lorena Álvarez, born in 1983 in San Antolín de Ibias, Spain, is a singular voice in contemporary Spanish music, renowned for her unclassifiable sound and poetic depth. Emerging as a visionary figure within the modern singer-songwriter tradition, she skillfully blends delicate lyricism with influences drawn from traditional folk, creating emotionally intimate songs that resonate with authenticity and warmth.

Álvarez’s career took flight with her debut LP, *Anónimo* (year unspecified), setting the tone for a body of work marked by artistic independence and fearless exploration. She followed this with the EP *Dinamita* and the full-length album *Colección de Canciones Sencillas*, each project further showcasing her versatility as a composer, producer, and interpreter. Her collaborative spirit shines through an EP created with Los Rondadores de La Val D’Echo, reflecting her deep connection to Spain’s rich musical heritage.

Expanding beyond conventional music platforms, Lorena Álvarez also composed the soundtrack for *Alba, A Wildlife Adventure*, a critically acclaimed video game developed by London’s UsTwo Games. This work highlights her talent for crafting immersive, poetic soundscapes that extend her artistic vision.

Throughout her evolving journey, Lorena Álvarez remains steadfastly independent, championing the enduring power of poetry and music as vibrant, transformative forces.
