About Deep Purple

Deep Purple, formed in London in 1968, is widely regarded as a cornerstone of hard rock and heavy metal. Emerging from the vibrant UK rock scene, this English quintet pioneered a distinctive sound that fused powerful guitar riffs, driving bass lines, and signature organ melodies. Their groundbreaking approach helped shape the proto-metal and progressive rock genres, leaving an indelible mark on rock music history.

Over more than five decades, Deep Purple has delivered a series of classic albums, including the seminal *Machine Head* (1972) and *In Rock* (1970), featuring iconic tracks like "Smoke on the Water" that remain staples on rock radio and in concert setlists worldwide.
