About The Heavy North

The Heavy North is a blues rock band rooted in the vibrant musical heritage of Liverpool’s Mersey Delta. Known for their gritty, authentic sound they describe as "dive bar blues," the group burst onto the scene with their debut album, *Electric Soul Machine* (2022). This initial release earned critical acclaim and established their reputation for raw, soulful energy. Following extensive headline tours across the UK and Europe, The Heavy North returned with their sophomore album, *Delta Shakedown* (2023), which marked a significant breakthrough by reaching #10 on the Independent Album Breakers Chart in the Official UK Charts.

Their dynamic fusion of blues and rock has garnered attention from major platforms such as BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and Classic Rock Magazine. The band’s compelling sound also drew praise from actor and music advocate Robert Carlyle, who described them as "absolutely brilliant." Cementing their reputation for electrifying live performances, The Heavy North released their debut live album and concert film, *Fire In The Furnace* (2024), recorded at Liverpool’s Camp and Furnace venue during a triumphant hometown show.

With a steadily growing fanbase and critical recognition, The Heavy North continues to shape the contemporary blues rock landscape, blending Mersey-bred authenticity with a powerful, soulful presence that resonates in every note.
