About Doves

Doves, the English alternative rock trio formed in 1998, quickly established themselves as a compelling force with their vinyl-only debut, the *Cedar EP*. Comprised of Jimi Goodwin and brothers Andy and Jez Williams, the band gained critical acclaim with their first full-length album, *Lost Souls* (2000), which earned widespread industry recognition for its atmospheric sound and introspective lyrics. Building on this foundation, their sophomore release *The Last Broadcast* (2002) propelled them into mainstream success, featuring chart-topping singles like "There Goes The Fear" and "Pounding."

Doves continued to captivate audiences with their third album, *Some Cities* (2005), which debuted at number one on UK charts, followed by the warmly received *Kingdom of Rust* (2009). After an extended hiatus, the band returned in 2020 with *The Universal Want*, reaffirming their distinctive place within the indie rock panorama. Marking another exciting chapter, Doves announced their sixth studio album, *Constellations For The Lonely*, set for release in February 2025 via EMI North. Accompanying this new effort is "Renegade," their first single in over four years, delivering a dynamic blend of the band’s signature atmospheric depth and fresh, stormy energy.

Throughout their career, Doves have maintained a reputation for crafting rich, textured soundscapes that merge alternative rock with emotive songwriting, securing their enduring legacy in the landscape of British music.
