About Lacuna

Glasgow-based folk-rock band Lacuna has been steadily rising since their formation in 2021, quickly earning acclaim for their evocative storytelling and richly atmospheric sound. This six-piece ensemble, composed of close friends, crafts haunting melodies and lush sonic landscapes that draw comparisons to artists like Ethel Cain, Boygenius, Daughter, and Lana Del Rey. Their music captures the raw beauty of nature’s quieter moments—reflecting fleeting seasons and wistful breezes through emotionally resonant arrangements.

Lacuna’s dynamic live performances have captivated audiences across Scotland and beyond, with sold-out headline shows at iconic venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow and the Windmill in Brixton, London. In addition to these headline gigs, they have supported notable acts including Lucia & The Best Boys, Infinity Song, Dutch Wine, Corto Alto, and the legendary Edwyn Collins. Their growing reputation was recognized with a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and endorsements from BBC Introducing and Tenement TV.

In 2025, Lacuna released their second and third EPs, culminating in the critically acclaimed “Nest,” which was also issued on vinyl through a collaboration with Assai Records. This release firmly established their distinct voice within the folk-rock and alternative scenes.
