About Dakotah Faye

Dakotah Faye, an influential rapper and storyteller from Minot, North Dakota, has emerged as a powerful voice in the Midwest hip-hop scene over the past decade. Renowned for his raw authenticity and emotionally charged lyrics, Dakotah's music reflects a journey of resilience, particularly marked by two years of sobriety that fueled his creative rebirth. In 2025, he reached a major career milestone by releasing three full-length albums—"UNINVITED GUEST," "Dog Days," and "Milk & Honey"—which highlight his versatility and growth as an artist. That same year, his music surpassed one million streams, expanding his audience nationally.

Known for commanding live performances, Dakotah Faye played over 40 shows across 11 states, sharing stages with hip-hop legends like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Warren G, and opening for Tech N9ne at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. His impactful presence earned him two North Dakota Music Award nominations as well as the 2024 Best Performer title from the Minot Daily News.

Collaborations with respected artists such as Rittz, Marley B., and Hooey demonstrate Dakotah’s commitment to forging meaningful connections within the industry. His selection for the 50 State Project by Mike Squires further underscores his role as a prominent Midwestern artist. Through fearless storytelling and unwavering independence, Dakotah Faye continues to resonate deeply with listeners, solidifying his legacy as one of North Dakota’s most significant hip-hop figures.
