About Ginestà

Ginestà is a dynamic Catalan music duo comprising siblings Júlia and Pau Serrasolsas from Sant Andreu de Palomar, Barcelona. They first caught public attention with their heartfelt singles "Estimar-te com la terra" and "Kilòmetre 3," which propelled them from obscurity to a burgeoning career marked by extensive touring and growing acclaim. Their sound underwent a significant evolution with the release of "l’Eva i la Jana," the project that also marked the beginning of their enduring collaboration with producer Xicu (Cesc Valverde), whose influence has been pivotal in shaping their distinctive style.

Building on this creative partnership, Ginestà released the warm and playful album "Suposo que l’amor és això" (2019), a tender celebration of love in its many facets. The duo solidified their position as key figures in contemporary Catalan music with their 2023 album "VIDAMEVA," a nuanced exploration of heartbreak and recovery that delves into sorrow, familial bonds, friendship, and joy. Following an extensive regional tour, Ginestà continued to innovate with the upbeat EP "Només viure," praised for its fresh and optimistic energy that resonates deeply with listeners navigating life's challenges.
