About Guillem Gisbert

Guillem Gisbert, born in Barcelona, is a distinguished figure in contemporary Catalan pop music. After fifteen years of success as the lead singer and songwriter of the acclaimed band Manel, he embarked on a solo career following the group’s hiatus. Known for his elegant and eclectic approach to songwriting, Gisbert released his debut solo album, *Balla la masurca!* (2024, Ceràmiques Guzmán), a work that showcases his commitment to exploring the nuances and boundaries of pop music with ambition and lyrical depth.

Since launching his solo journey, Guillem Gisbert has actively toured across festivals, theaters, and concert venues throughout Catalonia and Spain, connecting with audiences through his evolving sound. His artistry balances melodic sophistication with heartfelt storytelling, maintaining the qualities that earned him recognition with Manel while pushing creative limits.

Collaboration has also played a key role in his solo career. Notably, he joined forces with La Ludwig Band and Mushka on the track "1 Cumbia amb el Guillem (1vs1)," highlighting his openness to blending diverse musical influences. With a new album announced for release later in the year, Guillem Gisbert continues to carve out a unique space in Catalan pop, marked by innovation, emotional resonance, and a fearless spirit of musical exploration.
