About T‐Pain

T-Pain, born Faheem Najm in Tallahassee, Florida, is widely recognized for revolutionizing contemporary R&B and hip-hop with his innovative use of Auto-Tune. Beginning his career as a rapper with the group Nappy Headz, he caught the music industry's attention by creating a personalized version of Akon's "Locked Up" titled "I'm Fucked Up." This track led to a record deal with Konvict Muzik, launching his solo career under the name T-Pain.

His breakthrough came in 2005 with the self-produced single "I'm Sprung," which soared into the Top Ten on both pop and R&B charts. Later that year, he released his debut album, "Rappa Ternt Sanga," featuring the platinum-certified hit "I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Stripper)." T-Pain's signature Auto-Tune sound not only shaped his unique style but also influenced a whole generation of artists and mainstream music.

Over the years, T-Pain delivered multiple chart-topping singles such as "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')," earning two Grammy Awards for collaborations on Kanye West’s "Good Life" and Jamie Foxx’s "Blame It." His discography includes acclaimed albums like "Epiphany" (2007), "Thr33 Ringz" (2008), "Oblivion" (2017), and "1Up" (2019), featuring prominent artists like Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, and Tory Lanez. Known as the king of Auto-Tune, T-Pain continues to leave a lasting impact on modern R&B and hip-hop, maintaining his status as an influential and innovative figure in music.
