About Matthew Mole

Matthew Mole is a celebrated South African singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cape Town, renowned for his innovative blend of folk, electronic, and avant-garde influences. Born in 1991, Mole burst onto the music scene with his debut album, "The Home We Built" (2012), which made history as the first South African album to top the iTunes South Africa charts. He followed up this groundbreaking success with "Run" (2014), another chart-topping release that cemented his reputation as a formidable talent.

Known for his intricate compositions and emotive vocal style, Matthew Mole continued to evolve his sound on "Ghost" (2019), an ethereal album that earned him two South African Music Awards (SAMAs). His latest project, "Wake Up, It’s Morning" (2020), quickly garnered nearly five million streams on Spotify, reflecting his growing international acclaim. Beyond his studio achievements, Mole is a dynamic live performer who has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Russia. His career includes noteworthy collaborations and shared stages with prominent artists such as Bastille, Jungle, and Robbie Williams.
