About Model/Actriz

Model/Actriz is a dynamic American post-punk band that emerged in 2016, rooted in the vibrant Boston and New York music scenes. Comprising Cole Haden on vocals, Jack Wetmore on guitar, Ruben Radlauer on drums, and Aaron Shapiro on bass, the quartet has become a defining voice in contemporary alternative music. Their sound is an electrifying blend of dance-punk, noise rock, and experimental elements, marked by driving rhythms and abrasive textures that breathe fresh life into the post-punk genre.

Known for their intense and confrontational live performances, Model/Actriz has carved out a unique niche within the queercore movement, embracing both artistic authenticity and social consciousness in their work. Their Massachusetts origins shape much of their creative outlook, while their close ties to New York’s punk scene have broadened their artistic reach and influence.

Since their formation, the band has steadily built a dedicated fanbase, gaining underground acclaim for their genre-defying style and raw emotional expression. Through their evolving discography and powerful stage presence, Model/Actriz continues to push boundaries and challenge the conventions of punk music, solidifying their place as one of the most compelling forces in modern American punk.
