About Viva Belgrado

Viva Belgrado, formed over a decade ago in Córdoba, Spain, has established itself as one of the country’s most innovative and adventurous rock bands. Renowned for their fearless evolution, the band initially gained recognition for their progressive song structures and screamo influences. Over the years, they have toured extensively, performing in 31 countries at remarkable venues ranging from Tokyo skyscrapers and locations inside the Arctic Circle to Madrid’s renowned WiZink Center.

Their breakthrough moment came in 2020 when Viva Belgrado achieved a rare feat: appearing on the covers of two major Spanish music magazines, Mondosonoro and RockZone, in the same month. During the pandemic lockdown, they released a pivotal album that interrupted their most ambitious tour and tested their commitment to rock as a sustainable career in Spain.

In 2024, Viva Belgrado unveiled "Cancionero de los Cielos," a bold departure from their previous work "Bellavista" (year unspecified). This album marks a shift toward alternative rock, enriched with keyboards, melodic developments, and unexpected influences like ranchera, all while preserving their raw punk spirit. Reflecting growth both musically and lyrically, their songs delve into poetic, political, and spiritual themes.

Demonstrating a strong independent ethos, Viva Belgrado launched their own label, Fueled By Salmorejo, reinforcing their creative freedom. Today, they continue to push boundaries, solidifying their status as a vital force within Spain’s contemporary rock scene.
