About Frank Turner

Frank Turner, born in Bahrain in 1981 and educated at Eton College, is a British singer-songwriter renowned for his distinctive blend of folk-punk music. Starting his career as the frontman of the punk band Million Dead, which released two critically acclaimed albums before disbanding in 2005, Turner transitioned to a solo career marked by acoustic-driven, socially conscious songs. His early solo work, including the EP "Campfire Punkrock" (2006) and debut album "Sleep Is for the Week" (2007), showcased raw emotion and storytelling rooted in punk ethos.

Turner’s breakthrough came with "England Keep My Bones" (2011), an album that introduced him to international audiences and chart success. He continued to refine his sound with "Tape Deck Heart" (2013), which charted in the Top 50 and led to sold-out performances at major venues like Wembley Arena. His 2018 album "Be More Kind" further cemented his reputation, supported by extensive tours across the UK and the US.

Known for tackling themes such as atheism, sexism, and social justice, Turner’s ambitious 2019 release "No Man’s Land" paid tribute to overlooked historical women and was accompanied by the podcast "Tales from No Man’s Land." Collaborative projects like the split album "West Coast vs. Wessex" (2020) with punk band NOFX and works with artist Jon Snodgrass highlight his versatility. Returning to his punk roots on 2022’s "FTHC," Frank Turner continues to captivate fans worldwide with his passionate live shows and authentic songwriting, securing his place as a unique voice in contemporary British music.
