About Amon Tobin

Amon Tobin, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential figures in electronic music. Rising to prominence with critically acclaimed albums like "Bricolage" (1997), "Permutation" (1998), and "Supermodified" (2000), Tobin redefined the boundaries of experimental electronic production. His groundbreaking album "Foley Room" (2007) marked a shift toward intricate sound design, leveraging field recordings and found sounds to create immersive sonic landscapes. This evolution culminated in "ISAM" (2011), a landmark work that revolutionized audio-visual live performances with its stunning visual integrations, leading to sold-out shows at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Paris’s Olympia, London’s Roundhouse, and LA’s Greek Theatre.

Over an eight-year period, Tobin explored various musical identities, gradually releasing material through his Nomark label. In 2019, he delivered "Fear in a Handful of Dust" and "Long Stories," alongside Only Child Tyrant’s debut album "Time to Run." The year 2020 saw his acclaimed return as Two Fingers with "Fight! Fight! Fight!" and the debut of his Figueroa project with "The World As We Know It," praised by critics as an “album of the year.” Tobin’s career spans innovative studio production, mesmerizing live shows, and genre-defying collaborations, securing his place as a visionary artist continuously pushing electronic music’s creative horizons.
