About Jeromes Dream

Jeromes Dream is a pioneering hardcore band that emerged from Connecticut in 1997 before establishing roots in San Francisco’s intense punk scene. Known for their gritty, emotionally charged sound, they became a vital presence alongside influential groups like Orchid, Saetia, Reversal of Man, and pageninetynine. After an initial run until 2001, Jeromes Dream disbanded but made a much-anticipated comeback in 2018, reigniting their legacy with renewed vigor.

Their third full-length album, "The Gray In Between" (2023), marks a significant chapter in the band’s evolution. Featuring guitarist Sean Leary from Loma Prieta, the record was produced by renowned engineer Jack Shirley, celebrated for his work with Deafheaven and Joyce Manor. This album delves deeply into themes of fear, anxiety, and mental health, offering a raw yet meticulously crafted soundscape. Vocalist Jeff Smith describes the work as “a portrait of absolutely unrelenting fear and anxiety” that also serves as a therapeutic outlet and a source of artistic inspiration.

Released through Iodine Recordings on May 5, 2023, "The Gray In Between" has been praised as Jeromes Dream’s most accomplished release, showcasing sharpened songwriting and emotional intensity. Tracks like "Stretched Invisible From London" highlight their signature blend of visceral hardcore energy and haunting beauty, solidifying Jeromes Dream’s enduring influence in the hardcore and screamo music scenes.
