About Yves Tumor

Yves Tumor is a groundbreaking experimental musician and artist hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, renowned for seamlessly blending ambient, rock, and avant-garde sounds. They gained significant acclaim with their 2018 Warp Records debut, "Safe In The Hands of Love," which established their reputation for defying genre boundaries and pushing sonic limits. This was followed by the critically lauded album "Heaven To A Tortured Mind" (2020), co-produced with Justin Raisen, known for collaborating with Sky Ferreira and Charli XCX, further cementing Yves Tumor's distinctive artistic voice.

Continuing their evolution, Yves Tumor released the EP "The Asymptotical World" (2021), co-produced with longtime partner Yves Rothman and featuring the standout single "Jackie." In November 2022, they returned with the single "God Is a Circle," a collaboration with producer Noah Goldstein—celebrated for his work with Frank Ocean and Kanye West—and mixer Alan Moulder, famous for his contributions to My Bloody Valentine and Nine Inch Nails. This release also spotlighted band members Chris Greatti and Rhys Hastings, alongside backing vocals from Ecco2K and Thoom.

Beyond the studio, Yves Tumor is acclaimed for their electrifying live performances. They have toured with Nine Inch Nails across the UK and US, opened for Florence + the Machine, and played at major festivals such as Pitchfork and Outside Lands. Critics from The New Yorker have dubbed Yves Tumor “unmissable,” while notable comparisons to legends like Prince and Grace Jones underscore their influence and boundary-pushing artistry. Yves Tumor remains a vital force in contemporary music, continuously redefining what experimental sound can achieve.
