About MUCC

MUCC is a pioneering Japanese rock band formed in 1997, consisting of the dynamic trio Tatsuro (vocals), Miya (guitar), and YUKKE (bass). Renowned as one of the most influential acts within the Visual Kei movement, MUCC is celebrated for their fearless fusion of rock, metal, punk, dance, and rap, crafting a distinct and evolving sound that has captivated fans across the globe for nearly three decades.

Their impressive discography marks significant artistic milestones, beginning with their debut album "Tsūzetsu" (2001), followed by the major label breakthrough "Zekū" (2003), and the critically acclaimed "Hōyoku" (2005). Later releases like "Shangri-La" (2012), "Aku" (2020), and "Shin Sekai" (2022) highlight the band’s continual innovation and relevance in the ever-changing rock landscape. Signed to the prestigious MAVERICK D.C. label, MUCC has solidified their position as trailblazers in Japanese rock music.

MUCC’s extensive touring history has taken them to nearly 150 shows across 13 countries, including Europe, the Americas, China, Russia, and South America. Domestically, they have headlined iconic venues such as Nippon Budokan and Yoyogi National Stadium, while performing at major festivals like SUMMER SONIC, LOUD PARK, and KNOTFEST JAPAN. International festival appearances at Wacken Open Air and Sweden Rock Festival have further enhanced their global reputation. They have also earned acclaim as live performers, supporting legendary acts like Guns N’ Roses and The Smashing Pumpkins during their Japan tours.
