About Alhena

Formed in Rome in 2022, Alhena is a dynamic pop and synth-pop band that has quickly carved out a distinctive presence in the Italian music scene. Inspired by both international icons like Coldplay and influential Italian acts such as Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and Thegiornalisti, the band blends catchy melodies with rich electronic textures. The group originated at the Centro di Formazione Artistica e Professionale “Armonie Musicali,” where founding members Andrea Tantimonaco and Nicolò Tammaro first connected through ensemble workshops. Their live performances at respected venues including Largo Venue helped build their initial following.

Alhena’s debut came with the self-produced single "Come la Neve" (2022), which garnered early attention for its vibrant sound and heartfelt lyrics. Their momentum continued as they achieved third place in the 2023 Aprilia Original Music contest—a pivotal milestone that led to a co-production deal with UpMusic Studio and Il Branco Publishing. This partnership brought them into collaboration with established producers Sabatino Salvati and Vittorio Valenti, culminating in the release of "Arancione EasyJet" (2024). This single, distributed across major streaming platforms and radio, highlights Alhena’s evolving sonic identity.

The band line-up features Andrea Tantimonaco on vocals, guitar, and keyboards. He also leads songwriting and production, honing his craft under vocal coach Andrea Di Giustino and producer Matteo Cantaluppi. Drummer and percussionist Nicolò Tammaro, trained by Roberto Pirami, adds rhythmic depth, while bassist Stefano Taborri—also a student at the Saint Louis College of Music and a performer with the Hofmann Orchestra—completes the ensemble. Together, Alhena continues to expand their artistic footprint with a fresh and engaging sound that resonates widely.
