Robert Plant, born in Staffordshire, England, is celebrated as one of rock music’s most influential vocalists and the iconic frontman of Led Zeppelin. Deeply inspired by Delta blues, Plant helped transform rock from youth entertainment into a rich tapestry of mythology, mysticism, and diverse musical influences. His distinctive voice—often compared to a piercing, tenor saxophone-like wail—set a new standard for rock singing. This powerful tenor combined raw hard rock energy with elements of Eastern classical music, Celtic folk, and spiritual themes, crafting a sound that was as evocative as it was groundbreaking.
