About Water From Your Eyes

Water From Your Eyes is the innovative musical partnership of New York-based artists Nate Amos and Rachel Brown, known individually for their solo projects This Is Lorelei and thanks for coming, respectively. The duo has carved a unique niche in contemporary music by blending diverse influences into a sound that defies easy categorization. Their critically acclaimed album, It's a Beautiful Place, exemplifies their artistic evolution, opening with the ethereal instrumental “One Small Step,” which sets the stage for an expansive, conceptual journey through time, space, and existence.

Drawing inspiration from Y2K-era aesthetics and cinematic landmarks such as Blade Runner and Kubrick’s visionary storytelling, Water From Your Eyes crafts a sonic cityscape that reinterprets past musical eras through a futuristic lens. The album balances introspective melancholy with moments of awe and optimism, interspersed with short instrumental interludes that smoothly transition between robust, genre-defying tracks. This approach highlights the duo’s versatility while reflecting their thematic exploration of humanity’s fleeting place in the cosmos.

Water From Your Eyes stands out for their ability to transform ambitious, conceptual ideas into resonant, accessible music. Their thoughtful fusion of experimental soundscapes with emotional depth continues to earn them recognition as a formidable force pushing the boundaries of modern indie and electronic music.
