About Rufus T. Firefly

Rufus T. Firefly, an influential alternative rock band from Aranjuez, Madrid, has been a vital force in Spain’s music scene since their formation in 2006. The six-piece group features Víctor Cabezuelo (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Julia Martín-Maestro (drums), Carlos Campos (guitar), Miguel de Lucas (bass), Manola (keyboards, vocals), and Juan Feo (percussion). Over nearly two decades, they have released an impressive catalog consisting of one EP and seven full-length albums that trace their artistic growth and evolving sound.

Early albums like "Ø" (2012) and "Grunge" (2013) laid the foundation for their creative journey, while 2014’s "Nueve" gained critical acclaim for its sophisticated songwriting and distinctive rock identity. A defining moment came with the 2017 release of "Magnolia," a concept album celebrating themes of art, nature, and love. Its thoughtful narrative and compelling compositions earned platinum status, firmly establishing Rufus T. Firefly as one of Spain’s premier contemporary rock acts. The following year’s "Loto" concluded this dynamic trilogy, supported by over 150 concerts, including memorable performances at renowned venues such as Madrid’s La Riviera.

In 2021, Rufus T. Firefly released "El Largo Mañana," showcasing a warmer and more organic sound infused with ’70s soul influences. Mixed by the acclaimed producer Kennie Takahashi, this album highlights the band’s ongoing evolution and depth, reaffirming their place in the modern rock landscape. With a blend of artistic ambition and heartfelt expression, Rufus T. Firefly continues to captivate audiences at home and beyond.
