About Rancore

Rancore, born Tarek Iurcich in Rome in 1989, is a prominent figure in Italian hip-hop known for his profound lyricism and innovative musical style. Of Egyptian and Croatian descent, he began his artistic journey in 2004, initially releasing a series of self-produced projects that laid the groundwork for his evolving sound. His career gained significant traction through a pivotal collaboration with DJ Myke between 2009 and 2015, resulting in critically acclaimed albums such as "Elettrico" (2009), "Silenzio" (2012), and "S.U.N.S.H.I.N.E." (2015).

In 2018, Rancore showcased his growth as an artist with the album "Musica per Bambini," which he fully produced and performed. This release was supported by an extensive national tour featuring over 60 dates and high-profile appearances at major Italian music events, including the Concertone del Primo Maggio in Rome and Musicultura 2019.

His partnership with singer-songwriter Daniele Silvestri further elevated his profile, most notably at the 2019 Sanremo Music Festival where they performed "Argentovivo." Rancore co-wrote the track, which earned multiple prestigious awards, including the Mia Martini Critics’ Prize, the Lucio Dalla Press Room Prize, the Sergio Bardotti Award for Best Lyrics, and the Targa Tenco for Best Song. Following this success, Rancore joined Silvestri’s 2019 *La Terra dal Vivo sotto i Piedi* tour as a permanent guest.

Rancore returned to Sanremo in 2020 with the song "Eden," produced by Dardust, once again winning the Sergio Bardotti Award for Best Lyrics. With a unique blend of poetic storytelling and engaging beats, Rancore remains a vital and innovative voice in Italy’s contemporary rap scene.
