About T‐ARA

T-ara is a renowned South Korean girl group that debuted in 2009 and quickly rose to fame with their infectious dance-pop sound and captivating visual concepts. Their name, crafted to rhyme with "tiara," symbolized their ambitious aspirations within the competitive K-pop industry. T-ara made a significant impact with standout hits such as "Bo Peep Bo Peep" (2009) and the chart-topping "Roly-Poly" (2011), tracks that cemented their status as reliable hitmakers known for catchy melodies and dynamic performances.

Throughout their career, T-ara underwent several lineup changes, with members like Hwayoung and Areum joining the group, while another announced member, Dani, never officially debuted. Despite facing challenges including departures and controversies surrounding internal conflicts, the group maintained a devoted international fanbase, especially in China, where their popularity remained strong.

Their final release under their original label, Core Contents Media, was the 2017 EP "What's My Name?", featuring the remaining members Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon. Although T-ara never formally disbanded, this release marked the conclusion of their active years as a group. Their enduring influence on the K-pop scene is marked by their distinct sound, memorable performances, and evolving group dynamics that continue to resonate with fans worldwide.
