About Israel B

Israel B, formerly known as Markes, is a pioneering figure in the Spanish urban music scene, whose artistic journey reflects deep roots in collaboration and personal storytelling. Emerging initially as a key member of three influential groups—Corredores de Bloque, Takers, and Los Alemanes—he helped shape the sound and direction of contemporary hip-hop and rap in his country. These collectives established Israel B as a credible voice within the urban music movement, blending raw lyrical expression with innovative beats that resonated nationwide.

Building on this foundation, Israel B embarked on a solo career under the independent label Lowlight Music, where he was notably the label’s first artist signing. This move marked a pivotal evolution, allowing him to fuse his extensive group experience with a distinctive individual style. His work often draws from personal struggles, bringing authenticity and emotional depth to his music—a trait that has earned him recognition beyond just beats and rhymes.

Israel B continues to influence Spanish-language urban music by integrating the credibility of his collaborative past with fresh, independent production. His ability to adapt and grow within the genre has solidified his role as a versatile and enduring artist, capturing audiences eager for genuine urban expression and artistic innovation.
