About Band of Horses

Band of Horses, formed in 2004 in Seattle, has established itself as a defining voice in indie rock through an evocative blend of raw emotion and expansive soundscapes. Fronted by Ben Bridwell, whose ethereal, distinctive vocals and poetic lyricism have become the band’s hallmark, they craft music that resonates deeply with themes of life's complexities and generational anxieties. The current lineup includes longtime members Ryan Monroe and Creighton Barrett, alongside newer additions Matt Gentling on bass and guitarist Ian MacDougall, reinvigorating the group’s early punk-spirited energy with fresh intensity.
