About The Interrupters

Formed in Los Angeles in 2011, The Interrupters have emerged as a dynamic force in the ska punk scene, seamlessly blending the infectious rhythms of the 1980s 2 Tone ska revival with the raw, relentless energy of 1990s punk rock. Fronted by the charismatic powerhouse vocalist Aimee Interrupter and anchored by the Bivona brothers—Kevin on guitar, Justin on bass, and Jesse on drums—the band has forged a sound that is both vibrant and defiant.

Before joining forces in The Interrupters, the Bivonas honed their musicianship alongside Tim Armstrong as part of Tim Timebomb And Friends, deeply embedding themselves in punk rock’s legacy through extensive studio sessions and touring. This background helped shape the band’s distinct blend of high-tempo ska grooves delivered at blistering 180 beats per minute, paired with spirited melodies that ignite dance floors and unite audiences.

Signed to Hellcat and Epitaph Records, The Interrupters have become known not just for their infectious anthems of resilience and solidarity but for live shows that transcend typical concerts. Their performances transform venues into communal celebrations, erasing the barrier between band and crowd in a joyous fusion of dance, catharsis, and empowerment.

With a unique ability to channel both vintage ska influences and modern punk vitality, The Interrupters continue to captivate fans worldwide, carving a unique niche that celebrates unity, energy, and the enduring power of music.
