About Randy Travis

Randy Travis, born Randy Bruce Traywick in North Carolina, is one of country music’s most influential and celebrated artists. With a rich baritone voice and a traditional sound, he revitalized the genre in the 1980s and beyond. Over his prolific career, Travis has sold more than 25 million records across multiple genres and earned a remarkable collection of awards, including seven Grammy Awards, 11 Academy of Country Music honors, 10 American Music Awards, and multiple Country Music Association trophies.

Travis achieved extraordinary chart success with 23 No. 1 singles and 31 Top 10 hits. Among his most iconic songs are "On the Other Hand" (1986), "Forever and Ever, Amen" (1987), and "Three Wooden Crosses" (2002), each receiving CMA Song of the Year accolades. His albums have reached certifications ranging from Gold to Quintuple Platinum, demonstrating lasting commercial appeal.

Beyond music, Randy has showcased his talents in over 40 films and television projects. A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1986, he also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004 and was honored on Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame.
