About Keb’ Mo’

Keb’ Mo’, born Kevin Moore in Los Angeles in 1951, stands as a vital force in contemporary blues music, famed for blending traditional country-blues roots with modern soul and folk storytelling. Drawing deep inspiration from Delta blues legend Robert Johnson, Keb’ Mo’ revitalizes classic blues through his soulful voice and masterful command of acoustic, electric, and slide guitar. His breakthrough came with the self-titled debut album "Keb’ Mo’" (1994), which seamlessly combined original songs with reverent blues covers.

Keb’ Mo’s evolving artistry earned him widespread acclaim and multiple Grammy Awards, notably for albums like "Just Like You" (1996), "Slow Down" (1998), and "Keep It Simple" (2004). His collaborations demonstrate an impressive range, highlighted by the Grammy-winning partnership "TajMo" (2017) with fellow blues icon Taj Mahal. Politically conscious and musically diverse, his album "Oklahoma" (2019) further cemented his relevance in Americana and contemporary blues, featuring collaborations with artists such as Rosanne Cash and Robert Randolph. Other notable projects include "The Reflection" (2011), showcasing guest appearances by India.Arie and Vince Gill, and "Good to Be..." (2022), which delivered the relaxed grooves beloved by fans.
