About Oh Hiroshima

Oh Hiroshima is a Swedish post-rock band that emerged from the small town of Kristinehamn over 15 years ago. What began as a DIY recording project has grown into a highly respected act within the international post-rock scene. Known for blending elements of shoegaze, electronica, post-punk, and indie rock, Oh Hiroshima have crafted a signature sound marked by immersive, slow-burning compositions and rich atmospheric textures.

Their discography includes four full-length albums that showcase the band’s experimental spirit and emotional depth. Over time, Oh Hiroshima evolved from a larger ensemble into a tight-knit duo of brothers, a change that allowed them to explore more intimate and expansive musical directions. This transition is especially evident in their fifth studio album, "All Things Shining" (2023), which highlights a profound growth in songwriting and sonic ambition. The album embraces themes of wonder and awe, offering a hopeful counterbalance to contemporary disillusionment.

Throughout their career, Oh Hiroshima’s commitment to balancing emotional resonance with innovative soundscapes has solidified their position as stalwarts of Sweden’s indie and post-rock communities. Their compelling blend of genres and meticulously crafted songs continue to captivate audiences worldwide, ensuring their lasting influence in the evolving landscape of modern post-rock.
