About FLOW

FLOW is a pioneering Japanese dance-rock band renowned for their energetic fusion of rock, hip-hop, and dance music. Formed in 1993 originally as an X Japan cover band named Wyburn, and later Pinking, FLOW evolved from tribute performers into creators of their own distinctive sound. The band’s core lineup was solidified in 1998 with brothers Koushi and Take, vocalist Keigo, and bassist Got’s, and further completed by drummer Iwasaki in 2000.

Between 2000 and 2003, FLOW steadily gained traction with a series of EPs and singles on independent charts, including the hit "Okuru Kotoba," which peaked at number six in Japan. Their debut album, "Splash!!!" (2003), reached number two on the charts and secured a major label contract with Ki/oon Records. Subsequent albums like "Game" (2004), "Golden Coast" (2005), and "Airu" (2008) reinforced their reputation.

FLOW’s breakthrough to international acclaim came largely through their iconic contributions to popular anime soundtracks. Tracks such as "Go!!!" and "Re:member" for Naruto, "Days" for Eureka Seven, and "Colors" for Code Geass became anthems within the anime community, amplifying their global audience. Their dynamic performances extended beyond Japan, notably with an appearance at Dallas’ Anime Fest in 2006. Collaborations, including one with hip-hop group Home Made Kazoku on the song "Night Parade," showcased their versatility and cemented FLOW’s status as stalwarts of anime music culture.
