About SIAM SHADE

SIAM SHADE is a seminal Japanese rock band that formed in Tokyo in 1991, quickly emerging as a powerhouse within the hard rock, heavy metal, and visual kei scenes. Comprising five talented members, the band distinguished itself through a unique fusion of aggressive metal riffs, progressive rock complexity, and melodic accessibility. This dynamic combination propelled SIAM SHADE to the forefront of Japan’s rock movement during the 1990s.

Their breakthrough came with chart-topping hits like "1/3 no Junjō na Kanjō" (1997), a song that epitomizes their emotive songwriting and powerful melodies. Over an eleven-year career, SIAM SHADE released multiple influential albums, including their self-titled debut, which showcased their intricate musicianship and energetic performances. Known not only for their sonic innovation but also their striking visual style, the band became a defining force in the evolution of visual kei, captivating audiences with theatrical live shows and compelling aesthetics.

Affiliated with Sony Music Entertainment Japan, SIAM SHADE leveraged their platform to reach a broad fanbase across Japan and internationally.
