Amon Amarth, formed in 1992 in Tumba, Sweden, has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of modern melodic death metal. The band’s lineup—vocalist Johan Hegg, guitarists Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Söderberg, bassist Ted Lundström, and drummer Jocke Wallgren—has driven their evolution from underground beginnings to international acclaim. Their music uniquely blends powerful aggression with Viking-themed storytelling, capturing the imaginations of metal fans worldwide.

Critical milestones in Amon Amarth’s career include the albums "With Oden On Our Side" (2006) and "Twilight of the Thunder God" (2008), which propelled them into the global spotlight and expanded their loyal fanbase.
