About Bob Moses

Bob Moses is a Vancouver-born electronic duo composed of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance, known for their distinctive blend of moody guitar riffs, atmospheric textures, and dance-floor rhythms. Emerging from Brooklyn’s underground scene in 2012, they initially gained attention through early singles released on the influential Scissor & Thread label. This unique fusion of introspective lyrics and classic songwriting established Bob Moses as a compelling act that appeals equally to rock fans and club-goers.

Their signing with Domino Records led to the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, *Days Gone By* (2015), featuring emotionally resonant tracks that bridged the gap between electronic music and alternative rock. The duo’s breakout single, "Tearing Me Up," climbed into the top 15 on US Alternative radio, earning them Grammy and Juno nominations, and ultimately securing a Grammy win. This mainstream success was complemented by an extensive worldwide touring schedule, with standout performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, and Lollapalooza. Their dynamic live shows have earned them multiple accolades from Resident Advisor as Best Live Act.

In 2018, Bob Moses released *Battle Lines*, an album praised for its expanded sonic palette and socially conscious songwriting, earning a spot on Billboard’s Best Electronic Albums of the year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they maintained close engagement with fans through weekly "BobCast" livestreams and dropped the *Desire* EP (2020), which included a notable collaboration with electronic artist ZHU. Bob Moses continues to evolve, balancing introspection with danceable energy, solidifying their place in modern electronic music.
