Austra is a Canadian synth-pop and dark wave band that emerged from Toronto’s vibrant underground music scene in 2009. Fronted by vocalist and composer Katie Stelmanis, whose operatic training lends a powerful emotional depth, Austra masterfully blends art pop with electronic and new wave influences.
